How A Deeper Love came to be about is not too far off how all my other songs begin, which is by walking into the studio with a mind that won’t quit. I ascend the stairs to where Damon, my “Dream Team” co-captain is with my mind in a bubbling volcano state. Just knowing that as soon as I start talking and reconnecting with Damon is when each thought I have will find its channel and will be very instrumental to what we will ultimately create.
Being that the track had been sent to me in advance, I walked into our session that day in January, with an open mind and with no pre-conceived melodies tethering me to anything fixed.
There had been a lot of noise going on throughout the news and media at that particular time about gender, equality, and the ever burdensome, MeToo movement, causing a lot of deep dive questions I had in mind. I believe this was the first time I felt I needed to write an encouraging and yet connective jam to bring people together in spite of the constant social engineering people find themselves getting sucked into. Hence “in a world of she said, she said, don’t give a fuck about him” standout lyric.
Thus, Damon and I sent our thoughts out onto empathic sea once again and within an hour or two we had crafted what is now “A Deeper Love”. A musical figurative hand reached out to let people know that I’m just simply not about that social noise !
On May 10th, the song was released along with a video, which is now up and running on youtube on my channel. In addition to it completing the fourth top 10 notch in my Billboard journey in just these past two years.
Spotify and Apple Music now host “ADL” for streaming and for download, so I encourage you to jump on it !
Please join me in the pathway to restore feel-good intentions in music again ! There’s a deeper love to be had and experienced by everyone searching for something more beyond themselves.

A couple years ago I had a management team that would reprimand me, and would tell me to take down any photos or content that displayed the American flag in them. Looking back, they made a HUGE mistake.
By disrespecting your artist’s creative freedom, you’re disrespecting your country and what America stands for.
Let me do my thing, and hear freedom and the phone ring.
Duh.
